Velvet Underground presents a night like no other with VUtopia, a new series of Thursday parties fashioned especially for clubbers to ‘jump the gun’ and kickstart their weekend revelry just that little bit earlier. Aimed to celebrate the spirit of collaboration and the meeting of creative minds, VUtopia is the ideal platform to showcase the best talent in their own respective fields be it music, fashion, design, art or photography. With eclectic musical collaborations between Zouk resident DJs and invited guests, helming the decks back to back and adding another decibel of dance floor pandemonium, expect a gamut of vibrant sounds and raucous fun with VUtopia!

Christening VUtopia in July is Darren, one-half of the bass empowered duos, Dubwise, the masterminds responsible for the development of Dubstep & other bass heavy genres in Singapore. His musical influences run deep and wide varying from Disco edits to Detroit techno to even the soothing sounds of whales in courtship. Now taking a short respite from the usual bassface, Darren teams up with Zouk Resident, djB, celebrated for his sensuous flaming hot percussion-esque grooves. And together they will set the dance floor ablaze, pushing the house sound to a whole new level.
